Each year, AIA Fort Worth gives the following Honors and Awards to various members, projects, individuals and groups for their outstanding achievements and service to the profession of architecture and the community. The recipients are notified in November and given their awards at our annual Awards Ceremony.

JAMES R. WOOTEN SERVICE AWARD – Awarded to the AIA Fort Worth member who best exemplifies the characteristics of sustained, consistent and effective service in accomplishing the goals of the chapter.
CHARLES R. ADAMS AWARD FOR DESIGN EXCELLENCE – Awarded to an AIA Fort Worth member who has demonstrated consistent building design excellence over a body of regional projects.
YOUNG PROFESSIONAL AWARD – Awarded to a young member of the Fort Worth Chapter for serving as a model for young architects and associate members. This award is given to individuals who, in an early stage of their architectural career, have shown exceptional leadership in design, education, and/or service to the profession.
QUALITY IN CONSTRUCTION AWARD – Established to recognize and honor a person or group for their constant search for quality and fine work, not simply competent execution; but work which comes from excellent judgment, skill and care in the process.
PRESIDENTS AWARD – Established to recognize and honor a person or group in the community for their support of the chapter.
COMMUNITY AWARD – Awarded to an individual, organization, group, etc. for contributing to the promotion, understanding, appreciation, and advancement of architecture.
EXCELLENCE IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – Established to recognize an outstanding design, project or development that has a significant impact toward creating a more sustainable built environment. It can be awarded to design professionals, owners, developers, institutions and regulatory agencies that have a role in shaping the built environment.
HONORARY MEMBERSHIP – One of the highest honors the AIA Fort Worth Chapter can bestow upon a person outside the profession of architecture. It is given to persons of esteemed character who are not eligible for membership in the AIA Fort Worth Chapter, but who have given distinguished service to the profession of architecture or the allied arts and sciences
TWENTY FIVE YEAR AWARD – The test of time is used to single out the executed projects that receive this award, designed by an architect licensed in the United States, and important to the architectural history of Fort Worth.
CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION – Given for a spirit of cooperation with, and outstanding contributions to, The American Institute of Architects Fort Worth.
