Birthing & Wellness Center
We will begin at 5:30pm at the Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center, formerly the Dr Pepper Bottling Company (1401 Henderson St), a landmark Art Deco industrial building originally designed by Hubert Hammond Crane. Now operating as a wellness center, the building was sensitively renovated by 97W to honor its character, reinstating original window openings, restoring the iconic clock tower, and translating the bottling plant's exterior detailing into the building's new interior language.
Public Market Building
From there, we will walk to the Public Market Building (1400 Henderson St). Originally constructed in 1930, the historic Public Market Building once served as Fort Worth's farmer's market. The building has been thoughtfully renovated by Boka Powell into the leasing office and fitness center to serve the new adjacent residential community as well as three future restaurant concepts that will be open to the public. The Harden, named after the original developer of the site, is a 307,994 square foot market rate residential building with 199 units. Amenities include a dynamic pool deck with a hot tub, outdoor grille, game area, and clubhouse.
**This event will also serve as the AIA Fort Worth Annual Meeting, where members elect our next executive board. When we arrive at the Public Market, we will take a few minutes to conduct business.
