A House For…

Submission Deadline | August 17 (AIAS) - August 20 (All Other Participants)

Exhibiting work from AIA Fort Worth members, AIAS, and invited AIA Architects, the subject is open to the imagination. It might be a drawing of an actual project, or it could be purely conceptual. It may take the form of a photograph, a painting, a collage, a relief model, or a rendering. Submitted images will be displayed at the exhibit and the online auction with proceeds benefitting NOMA and architecture student scholarships.

The exhibit will be on display at Hotel Dryce and the online auction from August 25th - September 6th. The online auction will close at 7pm on September 6th and pieces can be picked up at 7:30pm, or contact aiafw@aiafortworth.org to coordinate a time.

CONCEPT: A House For... the subject is completely open to your imagination. It might be a drawing of an acutal project or it could be purely conceptual. Participants are invited to interpret what a house can represent — be it for a memory, a person, a cause, or an idea. Submitted images will be displayed in a virtual exhibit and online auction with proceeds benefitting NOMA and architecture student scholarships.

FORMAT: The physical size of submissions is open to each individual and must be framed and ready to hang. A simple metal, glass, or wood frame is sufficient. Each piece of work should be signed on the front and visible to view. Digital images are required to be accompanied by the physical submission for display in the online auction.

ELIGIBILITY: AIAFW professional, emeritus, and associate members, as well as AIAS, are encouraged to participate.

DATES: AIAS digital submissions are due August 17 for curation. All other physical and digital submissions are due August 20 to the AIA office. Please email digital submissions to aiafw@aiafortworth.org and coordinate drop off of physical submissions.

The exhibit will be on display for two weeks prior to Fall Gallery Night at Hotel Dryce in addition to being a part of an online auction. The exhibit will be on display and online August 25th - September 6th. The auction will close at the reception of Gallery Night held at Hotel Dryce.
