The AIA Fort Worth Homes Tour is a showcase of outstanding residential architecture designed by local, licensed architects. The one-day event, is a self-guided tour of elite homes in Fort Worth and surrounding cities. At each stop, attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet the architect as well as major home product suppliers like your company. The tour features a mix of projects including: renovations, additions and newly constructed homes. The tour’s mission is to celebrate the process of design & educate the community on the benefits of working with an architect.
The selected homes cover a wide variety of architectural styles, project types, and budgets, representing a cross section of lifestyles, each designed specifically for the client.
The process of design is unique for each architect. The final projects as you see them today are the result of hundreds of hours of collaboration between the architect and the homeowner, the architect and their consulting teams and the architect and the contractor. With design time ranging from three months to two years and construction ranging from nine months to two years, each home has multiple stories for you to learn about this weekend. As you visit each home on the tour, we hope you speak with the Architects and ask them questions. Each home will also have information about featured products and product representatives.
Proceeds from the Homes Tour support the Fort Worth Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Fort Worth) programs and scholarships. Over 500 members strong, AIA Fort Worth works to promote the value of architecture to the public, and unify the membership in service and growth of the profession. Our Home Tour’s mission is to celebrate the process of design and educate the community on the benefits of working with an architect.
